Mindful Movement combines elements of yoga, somatic movement, and other modalities in a unique experience that is designed to help you feel your best in mind and body – a gentle practice bring awareness and movement to each part of the body.

This special 1-hour class with yogi Stacey Carter incorporates the movement of gentle yoga using slow, mindful movements to achieve powerful effects in terms of strength, flexibility, and holistic integration of body and mind. These lessons tie directly into functional movements of daily life, such as walking efficiently, safely lifting objects, and improving one’s posture in sitting or standing.

This gentle practice brings awareness and movement to each part of the body, both releasing unnecessary muscular tension in overworked areas and “waking up” those that are under-active. Both grounding and energizing, these classes guide participants to balance in mind and body.
